The health of our Nation’s trees and forests is under constant threat by a variety of issues such as insects and disease, wildland loss, invasive species, uncharacteristic fire and climate change. The Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center (EFETAC) provides the latest research and expertise on these topics to assist landowners, managers, and scientists detect and predict future threats to their land. This integrated approach is the first of its kind and will result in the development of new technology and tools to rapidly improve knowledge of multiple forest threats.
