Template for Assessing Climate Change Impacts and Management Options (TACCIMO)
PARTNERS: USDA Forest Service Southern Region (Forest Planning, Forest Management, and Cooperative Forestry) and Western Wildland Environmental Threat Assessment Center
SUMMARY: EFETAC researchers are collaborating with forest managers and planners to develop the Template for Assessing Climate Change Impacts and Management Options (TACCIMO), a web information interface intended to facilitate the integration of climate change science into land management planning. The overarching goal is to provide land and resource managers and planners with the best available science they need to effectively and efficiently sustain forests and the services they provide under a changing climate. Functionally, this means facilitating the review of current climate change forecasts, threats, management options and how they may impact forest management and planning.
STATUS: The TACCIMO Version 2.2 suite of tools is now available, and feedback is being sought to guide future development. TACCIMO news and updates are provided here.
